Mr. Ryan Melis Welcome Letter

Welcome, and welcome back to the New Ventures Family!
Dear Students:

As we look forward to our fourth year of existence, we begin to reminisce on the first three.

This 2018-2019 academic year looks brighter than ever.

Students from all over Staten Island are coming to New Ventures and fulfilling their promise of graduating. Diploma numbers went from 6 to 26, then to 45 throughout our first three years, and we look forward to the rising number this coming year.

Our first year of Culinary Arts was a huge success as students learned the Principles of Cooking, Global History of Food, Gastronomic Literature and the Chemistry of Cooking.
A plethora of culinary internships have also emerged from this fieldwork and have given our students the opportunity to work in the fast-paced food industry. Through the help and support of Councilman Joseph Borelli, our cinematography course at the Conference House provided students the opportunity to tell the story of the role Staten Island played in the birth of our nation. Each year, new fieldwork and internship placements arise to fulfill all of your academic and professional needs. We have tremendous plans ahead for all of you, and we can’t wait to witness all of your accomplishments. Our team of passionate, expert educators are committed to preparing you for post-secondary success. Wherever that path may lead, always know that your family here at New Ventures will be there for you every step of the way.
